Statewide Transvaginal Mesh Clinic

The Queensland Pelvic Mesh Service (QPMS) is a state-wide service funded by the Department of Health. The Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (Gold Coast HHS) was successful in its bid to develop and provide a state-wide service to treat and care for women with pelvic mesh complications. Extensive planning and collaboration within the QPMS Implementation Committee (QPMS-IC), by Gold Coast Health service managers, clinical leads and clinicians in a codesign model with Health Consumers Queensland, affected consumers and the Department of Health, led to the design, establishment and delivery of an operational state-wide service in April 2019.
