How reflection and critical thinking can help avoid staff burnout

Recognising that healthcare settings can contribute to the experience of stress, compassion fatigue and secondary trauma in healthcare workers, Reflective Practice Groups (RPGs) have been introduced in the Sunshine Coast HHS. These groups, facilitated by trained clinicians, are now run across most sites in the HHS, across a range of clinical areas and professional groups.
