Hospital and health leaders from around the globe are heading down to Brisbane next year for the 42nd World Hospital Congress. Hosted in partnership between the International Hospital Federation, Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association, and Clinical Excellence, the congress will focus on driving reliability and effecting transformational change to cope with common health challenges around the world.
The massive three-day event will attract hundreds of hospital and health service leaders from around the globe to share views and experiences. The congress theme, Innovate | Integrate | Inspire – how can healthcare evolve to meet 21st century demands? creates plenty of opportunity to get involved and to showcase Australian organisation’s excellence in healthcare and leadership .
Deputy Director-General John Wakefield invited international health leaders to the congress in a recorded message at the conclusion of the 41st congress in Taiwan last month, promising an engaging 42nd congress focusing on solutions to common challenges.
‘Like elsewhere in the world, Queensland’s health system is being challenged by a number of factors; unsustainable healthcare costs, increasing rates of chronic disease and a growing demand for our services,’ Mr Wakefield said.
‘These challenges provide us with the opportunity innovate and do things differently.’
Oral and poster abstract submissions for the event are now open until 15 January and should align with the congress themes. In addition, there are a range of sponsorship packages and exhibition spaces available to highlight the achievements of your organisation.
A range of full and day-only registration packages are available, making it easy for health staff to fully tailor the congress experience to their needs.
