Advancing Kidney Care 2026 (AKC2026) won the Minister’s Award for Excellence, including a first prize of $50,000, at the 2019 Queensland Health and Department of Health Awards for Excellence.
This money will be reinvested into the AKC026 program, with a focus on kidney supportive care. AKC2026 also received a highly commended within the ‘Delivering healthcare’ category.
This win recognises AKC2026’s partnership between clinicians and consumers to improve the wellbeing of people on a kidney health pathway.
