The Post Sepsis Care Project

The Post Sepsis Care Project aims to identify and address gaps in post sepsis care services, resources and support available to sepsis patients and their families during their hospitalisation and post-discharge.

Here is what we are doing:

  • Looking at research to understand what's missing in sepsis care after patients go home
  • Undertaking surveys to see what's working well and what could be better in sepsis care
  • Seeking feedback from sepsis survivors and their families through surveys and focus groups
  • Based on all this information, we'll identify ways to enhance post sepsis care.

Benefits:

  • Gain a better understanding of the needs of patients and their families after sepsis
  • Create new resources and guidelines for healthcare providers
  • Achieve better health outcomes through early intervention and comprehensive aftercare
  • Increase awareness about the importance of post-sepsis care among healthcare providers
  • To improve the journey for patients (and their families) who have had sepsis.

Post Sepsis Care Consumer Survey

The Post Sepsis Care survey closed December 2023 and analysis is currently underway. A huge thank you to those who participated in the survey, your experiences and feedback are key to informing how we improve post sepsis care. More information will be made available once the analysis and report is completed.
