Advancing Kidney Care 2026 (AKC2026) is part of Queensland Health’s set of priorities aimed at delivering quality services that are safe and responsive for Queenslanders.
Kidney health is a key priority for Queensland Health, with an estimated one in 10 Queenslanders having medical signs of chronic kidney disease.
The AKC2026 Plan (the Plan) was developed with the aim of aligning efforts and resources to improve kidney health and kidney health services in Queensland’s public health system.
To deliver on the Plan’s goals, the AKC2026 Collaborative (the Collaborative) and the AKC2026 Project Delivery Team were established in late 2018.
