The Pre-anaesthetic Evaluation Framework Implementation Guideline has been developed to support Hospital and Health Services to implement the framework and includes tools to support implementation, evaluation and improvement sustainability. The tools may be downloaded and used in their current form or reformatted and / or amended to suit local requirements.
Implementing the Framework requires change. Change can be particularly challenging in the diverse, complex healthcare environment. The changes required to effectively implement the framework will not occur simply by sending out the guidelines and expecting change to happen. A project officer/lead is required to facilitate the change process.
